Salem Public Schools Applies to Renew After-School Programs
Collins Middle School and Horace Mann School Seeks 3-year Renewal with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Salem Public Schools announces that it is submitting an application to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to renew funding for its after-school programs at Collins Middle School and Horace Mann School. The Collins program, called Expanding Horizons, is run in partnership with LEAP for Education (www.leap4ed.org)and serves 100 Salem students in grades 6 -8 and the Horace Mann program, called the Learning Lab, serves 4o students grade 3-5. Both programs offer school year and summer programs that provide enriching academic programs and opportunities for students to grow socially and emotionally. Expanding Horizons also provides college and career awareness programs to prepare students for high school and beyond.
Enrollment in both programs are open to all Salem students in grade 3 - 8 whether they attend Salem Public Schools or not.
