Don't Toss It, Get It Fixed, At SalemRecycles' Repair Cafe

Residents are invited to bring their items to the Salem Community Life Center for help getting them fixed on May 20.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents are invited to give some of their worn and broken items a second chance at usefulness — and keep them out of the trash — with the help of the next SalemRecycles Repair Cafe at the Community Life Center.

The Cafe will be on May 20 from 9 a.m. to noon at the 401 Bridge Street location. Appointments are required and walk-ins will not be expected.

Repair volunteers will help mend clothing, sew buttons, sharpen scissors and knives, tinker with or rewire electronics and lamps, perform computer diagnostics, glue wooden furniture and ceramics, and conduct other small fixes to everyday items.
