Salem Residents Send Flowers, Support to Police after Dallas Shooting

Residents across Salem have been sending flowers and other gifts to the Salem Police Department in wake of the shooting in Dallas.

SALEM, MA—Salem residents turned out to the police station to thank the officers for their service in the wake of last Thursday's tragedy in Dallas.

Among the gifts were flowers, bagel and muffin baskets, fruit and cookie baskets and cookies from High Rock Church. The Police Department showed its gratitude on its Facebook account.

"We have a great community because we have so many great people who live here," The department wrote."This makes our job easier getting to know all our residents."
