Salem Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving 2016

Give yourself a break from the kitchen this year.

SALEM, MA — Decided to eschew the kitchen this Thanksgiving? We've been there. Fortunately, a number of restaurants in your area will remain open on Turkey Day to make sure you don't go hungry.

There are a number of Salem restaurants open on Thursday. In addition, there are a few restaurants offering free meals for the holiday.

Free Meal

  • Tavern in the Square Restaurant: Located at 189 Washington St., the restaurant will be holding its free annual thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those who would like to donate their time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. should contact 978-740-2337.
  • The Moose: Located at 50 Grove St., Thanksgiving dinner will be held at 12 noon. The registration period has passed.
