What's Closed, Canceled And Delayed In Salem On Tuesday
Patch has a running list of cancellations in town -- check back regularly as more are added.

SALEM, MA -- Salem closed schools for Tuesday and declared a snow emergency that goes into effect at 10 pm Monday. A winter storm warning goes into effect at 11 pm Monday and will be in place until 8 pm on Tuesday. Forecasters are calling for blizzard-like conditions and 12-18 inches of snow on the North Shore.
"You know the drill....although it feels strange to be doing this in mid-March," Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll said in a Facebook post announcing the snow emergency Monday afternoon.
On-street parking is banned for the duration of the snow emergency. The city has designated snow emergency parking locations, which can also be viewed on an interactive map. The quickest way to find out when the city has lifted the snow emergency is to sign up for the Salem CodeRED alert system. The city will also place a red snow emergency banner across the top of its Website at Salem.com.
