Salem Schools To Use $25K Grant On Middle School Career-Based Learning

State Sen. Joan Lovely announced the funding to help students explore different career opportunities at an earlier age.

SALEM, MA — A $25,000 state grant will help the Salem Public Schools develop a middle school program that allows students to explore different possible career paths at an earlier age.

State Sen. Joan Lovely's office announced the grant that will support in- and out-of-school lessons and activities that help students discover and develop their personal interests, skills, talents, and passions for potential future pursuits.

"This grant is a great opportunity for Salem Public Schools to help students discover their potential and prepare for future career success," Sen. Lovely said in a statement to Patch. "By providing career exploration at an early age, we're giving students the tools to make informed decisions about their futures."
