Salem Double Stabbing On Boston Street Sunday Night

Salem police said two people were stabbed in the third case of Sunday night violence in the city in the past month.

SALEM, MA — The spate of Sunday night violence in Salem continued this week with a double stabbing on Boston Street.

Salem police confirmed to Patch Monday morning that two people were found stabbed when police responded to the 180 block of Boston Street around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Because of the nature of the incident, no further details are being released beyond that there are "no charges or arrests at this point."

Peabody police also responded to the scene right near the city border.

It was the third time in the past month that violence broke out in Salem.

Last weekend, a Lynn man was shot during a fight outside the Brothers Haverna restaurant on Derby Street.

On Jan. 24, two people were shot on Perkins Street.

Police identified suspects in both shootings and said neither of those incidents was considered random.
