Salem State Alum Selected in MLB Draft
A Salem State graduate was selected in the 39th round by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2016 MLB Draft.

SALEM, MA—A Salem State graduate was among several North Shore baseball players selected in the 2016 MLB Draft.
Salem State College second basement Richard Fecteau was selected with the 1,176th overall pick by the Los Angeles Angels. He was selected in the 39th round of the draft.
The Newbury native finished the 2016 season with six home runs, a .393 batting average and was named the All-Star Game MVP in the FCBL All-Star game.

Fecteau is a three time first team all conference selection, two time ABCA Rawlings all region team selection, a pre season all-American, two time earner of ECAC first team honors .
