All those eligible in phase 1 of the state's vaccination protocol can register for a time slot on Thursday.

SALEM, MA — Salem State University will host a regional coronavirus vaccination day for North Shore residents eligible in phase 1 of the state's vaccination protocol on Thursday.
Eligible residents of Danvers, Beverly, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott can register for the vaccination at the university's South Campus Gym on Harrison Road on Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required and proof of eligibility is required when people arrive at the site.

Gov. Charlie Baker said on Monday that phase 2 of vaccinations — which will begin with all those age 75 or older — will begin on Feb. 1 with a regional mass vaccination site set for Danvers.
Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll said she expects the Salem State will also be used as a mass vaccination site for North Shore residents when phase 2 begins next week.
Those going to Salem State on Thursday should bring their proof of eligibility, wear a facemask, wear a short-sleeve shirt, arrive as close to their appointment time as possible and wait in the car until that appointment time if arriving early.
Vaccinations will be with the Moderna vaccine. Those being vaccinated will need a second dose about 28 days later.
A pre-vaccination screening form can be found here.
