Salem State Students Ready For Big Move

It’s not the all-out madness of college move-in day in Boston, but Salem residents can definitely expect to see some extra activity near Salem State University and Lafayette Street this weekend.

The official move in days for Salem State’s 2,500 resident students are Friday, August 29 through Saturday, August 31.

Dominick Pangello, the chief of staff to Mayor Kim Driscoll, said residents can anticipate some additional traffic in the area as students arrive and move in.

First year and transfer resident students will be moving in on Friday, August 29.

Returning students will be moving in on Saturday, August 30 or Sunday, August 31 depending upon their residence hall assignments.
