Salem State University students raise record amount for Northeast Animal Shelter

Salem State University students volunteered at the Northeast Animal Shelter, washing cars and donating the proceeds raised to the shelter. The students were participating in Service Saturday, a program where students volunteer to assist the community. Materials were provided by the Home Depot in Salem. The students raised $551, the largest amount raised for the Northeast Animal Shelter through a car wash.
The ongoing Service Saturday projects continue Saturday, Oct. 24 when students are planning to volunteer at the Food Project. Email service@salemstate.edu to sign up. Volunteers should arrive at Marsh dining hall at 9 a.m.
