Salem State's Berry Institute To Host North Shore Election Forums
The forums are free and open to the public ahead of the Nov. 8 state general election.

SALEM, MA — The public is invited to the Salem State University campus for a series of free election forums at the Frederick E. Berry Institute of Politics ahead of the Nov. 8 statewide vote.
The Berry Institute will host discussions on the overturning of Roe V. Wade, a forum on the importance of Latinx community engagement and voting, an informational session on the "millionaire's tax" ballot question, an insider's view of Congress with Mike Evans '76 and "TRANSform the Vote" as well as fireside chats and individual candidate meet-and-greets.

- TRANSform the Vote: October 19 at 11 am in Marsh Dining Lobby
- Fireside chats for state senator (Second Essex), state representative (7th Essex), district attorney (Essex County), and potentially other statewide and local positions are still being scheduled as of Tuesday.
The Berry Institute of Politics was established in 2019 and aims to engage and inspire a diverse community of learners to pursue careers in political and public service. The Berry Institute of Politics is nonpartisan and expands political engagement at SSU and on the North Shore by bringing policymakers, political leaders and public officials to campus.
The Berry Institute leads Salem State's voter engagement, hosts political discussions and debates, supports students with career interests in politics and public service and awards competitive scholarship offerings in the areas of government, politics, civic engagement, non-profit and public service.
