SALEM, MA — Salem residents who have spent the past couple of days clearing debris from lawns and property from this week's fierce coastal storm will have extra chances to drop it off at the Salem Transfer Station this weekend and Monday.

The Salem Transfer Station on Swampscott Road will be open for extended hours on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The station will be open Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those with proof of Salem residents can drop off yard waste in a paper waste back or dump it loose at a designated area of the site. Plastic bags will not be accepted.
