SALEM, MA — These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.
Edward Beaupre and Cordelia Burbank graduated from the University of New Hampshire in December. Beaupre graduated with a Master's Degree in Analytical Economics and Burbank graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Therapeutic Training.
Averill McCorkle, a member of the Colgate University class of 2025, has earned the spring 2022 Dean's Award with Distinction.

McCorkle is a Psychology and Social Sciences and is a graduate of The Governor's Academy in Byfield.
Colgate students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the spring 2022 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.

Kahlil Mitchell-Smith was named to the 2022 fall semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.
To earn Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.
Stonehill College recognized Leah Morgenstern and Jacob Dumont as students named to the Dean's List this past semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or better and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.
Megan Curley, a Lasell University student, was named to the Dean's List for their academic performance in the fall 2022 semester.
To be named to the Dean's List, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits as a full-time student and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Curley also earned a Certificate in Revenue Management from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
The revenue management certificate, coursework, and affiliated exam from the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute help students distinguish between tactical and strategic revenue management, address the proper use and importance of revenue management in hospitality operations, and describe a wide range of elements that must be considered in order to use revenue management effectively.
Nearly 1,000 new students concluded their first semester at Eastern Connecticut State University this fall. Among them is Danna Guerrero, a first-year student who is majoring in Business Administration.
