Salem Students Honored At Hamilton, Husson, Ohio Wesleyan, SNHU, WPI

These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions.

SALEM, MA — These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Alexandra Tatosky was named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the Fall 2023 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.70 or better for the Fall 2023 semester and must have completed at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

David Hunt and Austin Medico were named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Kahlil Mitchell-Smith was named to the 2023 fall semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To earn Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

The following Salem students were named to the President's List at Southern New Hampshire University with a GPA of 3.7 or higher while being on full-time status for the fall semester: Witold Matczak, Wayne Tremblay and Corissa Cunningham.

Girard Martin, Matthew St. Pierre, Ali Aldossary, Jessica Angella and Skylar Angell of Salem were named to the SNHU President's List for the summer semester.

Lindsey Russell was been named to Husson University's President's List for the Fall 2023 semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Russell is studying toward a degree in Exercise Science with a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Husson.

Brendan Sheehan, a member of the class of 2025 majoring in Applied Physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled Creating Video Resources for White Mountains Visitors.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue. About two-thirds of students complete a project at one of the university's 50-plus off-campus project centers, which are located around the world.

Rebecca Dalphin was named the recipient of The Leo Mackta Prize in Physics at Hamilton College's annual Convocation ceremony on August 23. Dalphin, a junior majoring in physics, is a graduate of Lexington High School.

Yosselin Guerrero Badillo is in the first year as a student at Eastern Connecticut University.

Ashley OMara was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. OMara was initiated at MCPHS University.
