SALEM, MA — These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation.

Several Salem students were among those who earned President's List honors at Southern New Hampshire University this summer.

Full-time students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President's List.

The Salem students achieving that status were Pamela Rehal, Lauren Ward, Chad Angell, Jonathan Smith and Michael Longfritz.

Full-time students who have earned a grade-point average between 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the Dean's List.

The Salem students achieving that status were Jodi McRae, Teceder McDaniels and Sarah Hawks.

The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University's 135th Commencement. Among the graduates was Geoffrey Escott, who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN to BS.

More than 3,700 undergraduate degrees and 680 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during nine individual ceremonies held over three days, May 21-23.

Stella Rowley was named to the 2021 Dean's List at Union College.

Rowley is a member of the Class of 2024 majoring in Liberal Arts.

The Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements.
