Salem Super Bowl Stream Warning For Fans Watching State Title Game
School officials said to beware of links claiming to stream Thursday's football game that may be a scam to steal credit card information.
SALEM, MA — With so much excitement around the city about Thursday's Division 6 state championship football game it makes sense that a lot of friends, fans and families who cannot make it to Gillette Stadium will want to watch the game from home or on their phones.
But Salem school officials are warning supporters of the Witches not to click on random social media advertisements for "live streams" of the game against Fairhaven because they may be scams looking to steal credit card information.
"We believe these to be imposters," officials said.

Many of the streams are showing up in the comments section of Facebook posts about the game itself.
The New England Patriots will stream the game from Gillette Stadium for free on their website and YouTube channel so there is no need to pay for it.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. with Salem High School having an early dismissal this morning at 11:30.
Those still looking to make it to Foxboro for the game are advised that advanced tickets through Ticketmaster are the only way to make it into Gillette Stadium. All digits will be digital and accessible through mobile devices only.
There will be no tickets sold at the gates at Gillette Stadium.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students/senior citizens. Children 5 years old and younger are free. Parking is free with each ticket providing a $3 discount to the Patriots Hall of Fame.
