Salem Superintendent Steps Down

After a long fought war between students, faculty, families and administration, Superintendent Margarita Ruiz has decided to resign from her position as Superintendent of Salem Public Schools.

After much negative feedback, the mayor and Ruiz decided that it would be best for her to step down and the leadership position be given to someone else.

Last night, there was a private meeting held between the leaders of the city. Many community members attended however, expressing their feelings about the Salem Public School system.

Several expressed that they felt that the only possible mode of saving the Salem Public School system was for her to resign.

Ruiz had been firing principals without reason and even hiring ones without the correct credentials.

Driscoll states that she has no other comments on the issue.
