Salem Warns Of Imposter Website Charging Fees To Pay City Bills

The city said the site "appears to represent itself as the portal for paying city bills" but may charge fees, collect personal information.

SALEM, MA — Salem officials are warning residents of the risks of using a website purporting to be a portal to pay municipal bills.

The site is not authorized by the city and may charge extra fees or collect personal information.

This is the only officially authorized online bill payment portal for the city of Salem.

"Use of these third-party systems is done at your own risk," the city alerted on Wednesday. "The city strong advises against using third-party or unofficial payment systems for paying city bills."
