Salem Water Main Break Impacting Commuter Parking

Parts of the city may see discolored water and/or low pressure.

(City of Salem)

SALEM, MA — A major water main break had part of Bridge Street shut down into the early hours Friday morning and was expected to cause problems for parking at the Commuter Rail station. The City of Salem said morning "access to the MBTA driveway road anticipated to only be possible from the eastbound side of Bridge St."

The MBTA said Thursday night cars couldn't enter or exit the Salem garage, encouraging people to park at Beverly Depot instead.

Salem said some parts of the city could see discolored water and/or low pressure. If the water is discolored, don't run hot water.
