SALEM, MA—After some mixed weather over the past few days, the area is set for a beautiful weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the weekend is set to be filled with sunny skies and 70-degree temperatures during the days. Although a chance of thunderstorms is possible overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning, daytime weather perfectly sets up a weekend full of fun in the sun.

- Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of thunderstorms before 5 a.m., otherwise mostly cloudy with a low around 60 degrees.
- Sunday: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m., then partly sunny with a high near 73.
- Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low near 54.
