Salem Woman Dies After Pedestrian Strike On Jefferson Avenue

SALEM, MA — A 41-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle on Jefferson Avenue on Sunday night died from her injuries, according to Salem police.

Police said they responded to the pedestrian strike at Jefferson Avenue and Willson Street at about 8:30 and found the woman suffering from "extensive injuries." Police said first responders began administering life-saving measures before she was taken to the North Shore Medical Center.

Police said Tammi Lyn Guy, 41, succumbed to her injuries later Sunday night.

Police said the driver stayed on the scene and that the pedestrian strike remained under investigation as of Monday afternoon.
