SalemRecycles 5th Annual Clothing and Textile Recycling Drive is Near
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Riley Plaza parking lot.

Fall is a great time to clean your closets the green way: via the SalemRecycles annual clothing and textiles event. On Saturday, November 21, SalemRecycles will host the fifth annual textile recycling drive at Riley Plaza parking lot from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The parking lot is directly across from the Salem Post Office at 2 Margin Street and will have a big Goodwill truck in it.
Residents can drive in to the lot and drop off their textiles. A group of enthusiastic SalemRecycles volunteers will be on hand to assist residents with their drop-off. All dropped off items will be either reused through Goodwill retail stores or shredded and recycled into other items, so even single socks, sweaters with holes, or other damaged fabric items will be accepted. Everything that is clean, dry, and odorless will be allowed.
