Score a Strike Against Parkinson's on April 2nd!

Candlepin Bowling and Ice Cream Social Mini-fundraiser to Support Parkinson's Programming

April is Parkinson's Awareness Month. Parkinson's is a progressively disabling neurological disorder that can affect the ability to walk, talk, write and swallow. A diagnosis can strike people as early as their mid-40s or younger and, more often, from middle-age through the senior years.

The local nonprofit Parkinson's Fitness organization will host a candlepin bowling and ice cream social mini-fundraiser on Sunday, April 2nd to support the ability-based exercise, movement, singing, and educational programs they provide that encourage and empower North Shore residents affected by Parkinson's.

Reservations are required by March 27th. Participants will bowl from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Sunnyside Bowladrome, 176 Water Street, Danvers on Sunday, April 2nd. The $20 per-person charge provides 2 strings of bowling, free shoe rental, a Red Sox tickets raffle, and an ice cream social generously sponsored by the Treadwell's Ice Cream "Scoops" community partnership program.
