Singer Songwriter Rachel Price visits the Northeast Animal Shelter!

Rachel Price took time from her "Give an Animal a Home" tour to cuddle with the animals that are looking for homes.

Singer, songwriter Rachel Price took time from her busy schedule and stopped by the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. Rachel was born in Nebraska and received her first guitar at age 11. She practiced every day, made videos and posted them online. She was noticed by producers in LA and went there to record 4 songs. Later on she found herself in Nashville and began recording once again. Touring followed and during her free time she found herself walking dogs and dog sitting. "There were always dogs around as I was growing up. Friends, family, neighbors all had them. I loved my dogs." She decided to combine her two loves, animals and music and titled her latest tour "Give an Animal a Home." She makes donations to shelters in the community that she performs in and this is what lead her to the Northeast Animal Shelter.

At the Northeast Animal Shelter Rachel was greeted by Jen Adams. Jen Adams is both the face of community outreach and volunteer coordinator. Rachel was able to tour the shelter, visiting with cats and dogs that are looking forward to becoming important members of loving families. Some of these animals are local surrenders, while others come from as far away as Georgia, New Jersey, Florida, California and West Virginia. More then 125,000 cats and dogs have been adopted since opening their doors in 1976. Rachel ended her tour with a Facebook Live interview with Jen.
