Amos Paine says “Like my personality, my art is surprisingly outgoing and occasionally bold even though it looks traditional. My favorite media, pen, is tricky and permanent, creating contrast boldly on the page. Then I take watercolor, also a permanent and tricky media, and bring it to the ink work with subtle color work.” Mike Porter says of his work “I enjoy taking the time to find the beauty that surrounds us and offer it to you. Every day holds the promise of a special moment. What inspires me is the challenge to capture that one serene moment in a photograph and share it with everyone.” Raw Artworks, of Lynn, believes that every kid should be seen and heard. At RAW, kids from a challenged city are inspired to create extraordinary works of art, a strong community, and life-affirming futures. This show will features works of art from RAW’s 2015 “The Truth Is” exhibit, which showcased over 150 young artists who were asked the challenging question, “What is your truth?”
