State Auditor to speak at Salem State on health policy

Her talk will focus on the role of the Office of the State Auditor's work in identifying potential fraud and improved efficiences.

SALEM, Mass.( October 14, 2015) — State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump will be speaking from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5 at Salem State’s MLK Room to discuss health policy. As state auditor, Bump seeks “to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in state government and to find ways that our state government can work better.” To that end, her talk will focus on the role of the Office of the State Auditor’s work in identifying potential fraud, opportunities for cost savings, and improved efficiencies at MassHealth, the state’s Medicaid program. The event, free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the university’s political science department, the Bates Center for Public Affairs, the Pre-Law Society and the Political Science Academy.
