Suspect In Custody After Gunshots Fired In Salem
Salem police said they confirmed the reports of "shots fired" early Sunday morning.

SALEM, MA — A suspect is in custody in Salem after police confirmed reports of gunfire early Sunday morning.
Police said they received a call reporting "shots fired" at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday on School Street near Buffum Street. They said they found bullets at the scene.
Police said a suspect in the shooting was found in possession of a gun and taken into custody.

"The investigation continues but we are confident that the threat to the public is not ongoing," police said on Sunday.
