Swampscott Summer Beach Parking Rules Now In Effect
The town is reminding residents where they can and cannot park with a permit when headed to the beach this summer.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — With summer beach parking at a premium at some Swampscott beaches, the town is reminding residents where they can and cannot park when using a town-issued beach sticker.
Beach parking stickers allow for parking where there is a "Recreation Permit Parking" sign. Areas with "Resident Permit Parking" signs are restricted to those who both have a resident parking sticker and live on that street.
Stickers this year are $20 for residents and $7 for seniors.

The Recreation Permit Parking allows for parking on the northbound side of Atlantic Avenue to the Marblehead line at Preston Beach, the ocean side on Ocean Avenue (between signs) at Phillips' Beach, the parking lot next to the Phillips Park football and walk through trail to Puritan Road for Whales, Eisman's and New Ocean House beaches.
The permit also covers one side of parking on Columbia Street next to the railroad station.

Stickers are not needed for Fisherman's Beach or King's Beach on Humphrey Street.
