Two Juveniles Charged In Salem Gunpoint Robbery Of Teen

SALEM, MA — Two juveniles were charged with armed robbery, larceny and assault with a dangerous weapon Monday night after Salem police said a teen boy was robbed at gunpoint.

Poice said the teen was found "visibly shaken and upset" at about 5 p.m. on Monday and reported that two masked males pushed him around a corner, held him at gunpoint and stole clothing, a backpack and electronics.

Police said they were able to identify the suspects' vehicle and it was located in Lynn a short time later. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and found the suspects with a BB gun in the car that police said: "looked like a functioning firearm and had no orange tip."

The two 16-year-olds inside the car were charged with armed robbery while masked, larceny over $1m200, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
