U.S. Rep. Moulton Issues Profane Retort To Department Of Homeland Security

SALEM, MA — U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton — who is challenging sitting U.S. Sen. Ed Markey in the Democratic primary this coming fall — quoted the infamous, profanity-laced declaration from Red Sox legend David Ortiz in a response to a Department of Homeland Security post on X.
DHS posted a photo of Fenway Park prior to Tuesday night's game against the New York Yankees with the message: "Our nation and our people are worth fighting for."

Moulton responded by blasting the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, using the words Ortiz voiced while addressing the Fenway Park crowd in the first game following the Marathon bombings 13 years ago.
"The Red Sox need bullpen depth and a few more good bats," Moulton said in a statement provided to Patch. "We do not need racist, masked thugs terrorizing our communities so Trump can distract us from the Epstein Files.

"This is our f****** city, and nobody is going to dictate our freedom."
Moulton has aggressively denounced DHS and ICE actions over the past 15 months — including his introduction of the NOEM Act that would open the door to lawsuits against federal immigration agents and officials, and his invitation to this year's State of the Union address of a high school volleyball player from Milford who was detained at the Burlington ICE facility last spring.
