Universal Steel Site Topic of Informational Meeting

SALEM, MA - A public informational meeting will be held at the Special Meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, January 6 at 7 p.m. on the redevelopment of the former Universal Steel site at 297 Bridge Street.

The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, 93 Washington St., Salem. The informational meeting will be an opportunity for the City Council and residents to get an overview of the process for the redevelopment of the Universal Steel site and to see a presentation from F.W. Webb Company on their proposed redevelopment.

The public is welcome to attend; however, this is not a public hearing. Public hearings will be scheduled to discuss the rezoning, discontinuance of Beckford Way, and the disposition of land to Sun King LLC, an affiliate of F.W. Webb Company, in the near future.
