Crews have been working throughout the day to make repairs to the 16-inch water main. Repairs are expected to take several more hours.

Approximately 1,000 water customers were impacted. Water has already been restored to some people, according to city officials, ands Department of Public Works crews are doing their best to have water service restored to everyone by the end of the day.
Crews were on the site of the water main break digging for the leak early this afternoon, according to city officials. The crews are dealing with a lot of ground water and the weather conditions are slowing things.
Crews have been working in challenging conditions today, with frigid temperatures and wind chills of minus 8 degrees.
The water main break is the second water main break this week. Crews repaired a 10-inch water main break in a different area in the same ward on Monday.
