Wakefield Students Buzzing About Books

Wakefield students were buzzing about books last week, as they gathered at a number of local businesses for a Wakefield Reads Book Buzz.

Wakefield Reads is a Wakefield Public Schools initiative aimed to promote reading among students and parents during the summer months.

The program is also supported by Wakefield-Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce and The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library.

The 2015 summer book selection was I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and all ages were invited to partake in the program by reading an age appropriate edition of the book.

Wakefield Co-operative Bank was among the local businesses taking part in the program. It hosted a middle school group discussion, which was led by Wakefield High School English Teachers, Allen Drinkwater and Paul Bavuso.
