What's Open, Closed On New Year's Day In Salem

SALEM, MA -- Salem City hall will close at 11:30 am on Friday, December 29 for New Year's Eve and be closed all day on Monday, January 1 for New Year's. Curbside trash and recycling pickup will be delayed one day during the week of January 1.

Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 2. Curbside trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of January 1.

The MBTA will be running an altered schedule on New Year's Eve and on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Day.
