This year's Witches should make the tournament, although it is a young team, Bertone said.
Bertone's captains are seniors Sarah Chasse, who pitched all 20 games last year with 14 wins, and Sarah Mullarkey, a four-year Northeastern Conference all star and .400 hitter.
Junior Julia Jennings will play short this season instead of third. The three-year starter and NEC all star hit over .390 last season and led the team in stolen bases and RBIs.

"We're getting into shape. We've definitely got a good team; we're just perfecting that game," Trioli said.
It's a fresh start for the team's three all star senior captains, Sarah Lambert, Lauren Schaebje and Abbey Noone, who hope to make the tournament after missing the playoffs last year.

the jumps and sprints; Desiree DeLeon, also sprints and jumps; Barbara
Guzman, hurdler and jumper; Amanda Wilkins in the throws; Casey
Lavoie, in the middle distances and high jump; and Ariella Crowder in
the sprints and jumps.

Penneton (soph.).

Salem in the winter season.

qualifying for the tournament after missing the playoffs last year by
one game.

Lam and Jorge Barzola.
