Zagat Lists 12 Restaurants For Tourists to Try in Salem

The Zagat restaurant guidebooks and ratings are often seen as one of the most popular restaurant guides in the world.

Recently, in preparation for the tourist influx to Salem, the Zagat website published an article listing 12 restaurants for tourists to try if they visit Salem this October.

The list is heavy on newer favorites in town, such as Opus and Bambolina.

And although the article is only a few weeks old, it is already slightly outdated with 62 Restaurant and Wine Bar planning on shutting its doors and A&B Salem Burgers and Beers having moved to Beverly.

While there are far too many great restaurants to make a list of only 12, some old, established favorites such as Red’s, Finz, and Nathaniel’s at the Hawthorne Hotel are nowhere to be found.
