1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured In Route 79 Crash
A wrong-way crash in Fall River killed a Somerset man and seriously injured a Fall River man.

FALL RIVER, MA — One man was killed and another seriously injured in a Wednesday morning wrong-way crash on Route 79.
Police said at around 10 a.m. a 75-year-old man from Somerset was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima southbound on Route 79 North. It is unknown why the man, identified as Raymond J. Martin, was driving the wrong way.
Martin's vehicle collided with a 2011 Ford Escape driven by a 59-year-old Fall River man.

Martin was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Escape was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
