3 MA Residents Killed In NY Crash On Way To Funeral
Three Massachusetts residents died in a rollover crash on the New York Thruway Wednesday.
FALL RIVER, MA – Three Massachusetts residents killed in a rollover crash in New York Wednesday were driving to a funeral, relatives told WJAR-TV. New York State Police responded to the crash around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday morning on the Thruway westbound in Verona, NY, according to reports.
The victims were identified as Maria Braga, 81, of Fall River; David Botelho, 73, of Westport; and Isabel Botelho, 72, of Westport. The driver of the car, 81-year-old Joao Braga, of Fall River, was hospitalized.
His condition is unknown.

Relatives told WJAR-TV the four were heading to the funeral of David Botelho and Maria Braga's brother in Toronto, Canada, according to the Associated Press.
