5 Overnight Fires Intentionally Set In Taunton: Officials
Four people living above a bakery that was set on fire were displaced.

TAUNTON, MA — Authorities are investigating after what they said was five overnight fires intentionally set over a span of two hours. Taunton Fire Chief Timothy Bradshaw and Police Chief Edward Walsh said four people were displaced, but no one was injured.
Four of the fires, set between 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday, were on Weir Street, including a bakery that the four people lived above. The other was on Leonard Court.
All the fires were quickly extinguished.

Police briefly questioned a person of interest early Thursday morning, but the person was released.
The Property and Casualty Insurance Companies of MA and RI are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the suspect or suspects and/or solving the case.
