5 Things You Need to Know: Friday, Feb. 22
The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking for Teacher of the Year nominations.

1. A lot of sunshine before another snowstorm is what WHDH is predicting. There will be no wind today with highs in the mid-30s.
2. Do you know a great teacher who deserves special recognition? Nominate him or her for the 2013 Teacher of the Year honor, awarded through The United Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Teacher of the Year program recognizes an outstanding teacher in one of the 16 communities the Chamber serves: Attleboro, Bellingham, Blackstone, Foxborough, Franklin, Mansfield, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, North Attleborough, Norton, Plainville, Rehoboth, Seekonk and Wrentham. Teacher nomination forms must be received by March 22. Call the Chamber at 508-222-0801 for the Teacher of the Year nomination form or visit www.unitedregionalchamber.org. The 2013 Teacher of the Year will be recognized at a celebratory breakfast in May.
3. For those book lovers out there make sure you have Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Swansea Public Library's $5 Bag O'Brooks Sale.Â

4.  Swansea Little League's 2013 Registration will take place Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Little League Complex on Route 6. and Monday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the Inside The Park in Fall River. Please see the League's website more information.
5. PawSox Idol open tryouts will be at the Swansea Mall, Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center Court Stage. You must be 15-year-old or older and register before the tryouts. For more information, call 401-724-7300 or go to www.pawsox.com.Â
