5 Things You Need to Know: Tuesday, March 12

Irish music will be performed Tuesday at the Seekonk Public Library.

 

1. The good news is no more snow, but we will see late day showers, starting probably after 4 p.m., according to WHDH, and lasting into the night. The temperatures will be in the 52-57 degree range. 

2. Singer-Songwriter David Polansky will be bringing Erin Go Baugh, songs from and about Ireland to Seekonk Public Library, Wednesday, March 13, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Contact the adult services department at 508-336-8230, ext. 130. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library and pre-registration is preferred.

3. The installation of Seekonk Chief of Police Craig Mace will take place at the Johnson & Wales Inn, 213 Taunton Ave., Seekonk, Sunday, March 17, at 1 p.m. 

4. The Seekonk Planning Board will be meeting Tuesday in the selectmen's meeting room at 7 p.m., while finance committee will be meeting in the planning board room.
