5 Wits to Surpass One Million Adventurers During Columbus Day Weekend
Massachusetts-based company to award a 5 Wits Prize Pack worth $500 to the one-millionth adventurer over Columbus Day Weekend.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – In a world of entertainment, 5 Wits has been taking participants beyond the imaginable and into a universe of adventure since its inception in 2004. Ten years later, the immersive-entertainment venue, with locations in Foxborough’s Patriot Place and Syracuse, N.Y., is approaching a significant milestone – one million adventurers in attendance.
“We are excited to be reaching such a significant milestone for our Foxborough and Syracuse locations and will be awarding a 5 Wits Prize Pack worth $500 to the One-Millionth Adventurer,” said Frank Cerio, general manager of 5 Wits Patriot Place.
The public is encouraged to visit 5 Wits Patriot Place leading up to – and during – Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 10-13. Anyone from either the Patriot Place or Syracuse, N.Y. locations could be the one-millionth adventurer!
At Patriot Place, guests can experience the adventures Espionage and 20,000 Leagues. In Espionage, you will be trained as spies, infiltrating and taking down an evil corporation determined to stop you at every turn. In 20,000 Leagues, you will get caught up in the riddle of Captain Nemo’s lost ship when your tour group accidentally discovers the Nautilus.
5 Wits Patriot Place has also introduced a new haunted adventure during the Halloween season as the lights go out in the 20,000 Leagues adventure from 6-10 every Friday and Saturday night from Sept. 26 to Oct. 31.
“It’s unlike anything you may have experienced in the existing 20,000 Leagues adventure at 5 Wits Patriot Place,” said John Pandiscio, 5Wits director of marketing and advertising. “This one has the lights out, a haunted new storyline and something lurking in the shadows!”
All 5 Wits adventures fully immerse you in a vibrant, physical world that’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. With cutting-edge, live-action entertainment, participants are called upon to solve puzzles, explore new spaces and discover the details of your unique story.
5 Wits Productions, located in Norwood, Mass., was founded by owner/designer Matthew DuPlessie in 2004, and currently has entertainment venues in Foxborough, Mass., Boston, Washington D.C., Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Syracuse, N.Y.
The name, “5 Wits,” comes from Shakespearean times. The five wits were said to be Imagination, Estimation, Fantasy, Common Sense and Memory – all aspects that make an appearance in the franchise’s numerous adventures. The name can also be associated with the five senses, which is appropriate, because you use all of them during a 5 Wits adventure.
