Community Corner

84th Annual Harvest Moon Bazaar

This isn't your Grandma's Church Bazaar (though Grandma
will love it too)! On Nov. 16th from 10 - 3,
First Congregational Church on High St. in Bristol is hosting it's
84th Annual Harvest Moon Bazaar. This year entertainment is being provided
throughout the day by a storyteller, the Mt. Hope
High School Chorus, members of the Community String Project and FCC's
own James Thomas. We're expecting a visit from Santa on an antique 1947 fire
truck
. In exchange for a toy or monetary donation for
the East Bay Food Pantry's Holiday drive, folks
can have their picture taken
with Santa. There will be childcare available while parents shop
the bazaar. Children will be making a holiday gift or ornament. We have an
exciting Silent Auction (with an online catalog that van be viewed at

fccauction.weebly.com) that includes an original Renoir etching (examined

by Skinner Auctions who confirmed it was made using the original plate in

the 1950s). In addition to lots of other art pieces we have a signed
Red

Sox baseball, tickets to area cultural events
and many other auction treasures. Booths will include the
Country Store, Jewelry Shop, Bakery, Women's Guild, Floral/Dried Arrangements,
Attic Treasures and more. Luncheon will feature the lobster
roll sandwich! Please join us!
