Opinion: Vote for Kinniburgh and Mararian for School Committee

I am personally endorsing Don Kinniburgh and Jeffrey Starr Mararian in the April 1 election for two seats on the school committee.

Having served with Don on the planning board, I can attest to his commitment to the residents of Seekonk. In all of the issues that came before the board, Don voted on the facts and what was in the best interests of Seekonk. I believe that he will continue his fair and uncompromised commitment to what is in the best interests of our students and the residents of Seekonk.

It is always good to see a candidate who is not afraid of a debate, a town hall meeting or a pointed question concerning our schools. Jeffrey Starr Mararian has shown an exemplary standing in all these areas, leading me to believe my support is best placed with him for Seekonk School Committee. I served as a teacher in this community for eight years and I had the privilege of working with school committees dedicated to the best interests of our students and residents. 

I ask that the residents join me in voting for Don and Jeffrey on April 1.
