Vote for Experience

I am the most experienced candidate running for school committee.

I have lived in Seekonk for 60 years. Being a member of this community is a big part of my life. It hasn't always been easy, but most times it is enjoyable and rewarding. I have reconnected with old friends and have met some new ones.

Everyone shares in the responsibility of a successful government. Many believe this only applies to presidential elections. I firmly believe it all begins at home.

I started my work on the Personnel Board. It's an appointed position, but a very important one. I was also appointed to the Finance Committee. This position opened a new opportunity to learn the operating budget and the many workings of the Department of Revenue. This was a valuable lesson learned as I progressed to the electoral process. I have since served terms on the Planning Board and Board of Selectmen. I have also served as a voting member of The Senior Center Building Committee and currently serve as Chairman of The Armed Services Memorial Park Committee.

With each experience, I continue to learn new things. Learning doesn't stop with a diploma or degree. It's vital for personal growth.

The Seekonk education system is continuously changing. In today's society it has to so our children will grow and continue to improve themselves in this ever changing world. I am very interested in being part of the team charged with ensuring that the educational path for each child is clear, suitable and safe. This is why I am asking for your vote on April 1st.

My name is Donal Kinniburgh and I am running for School Committee. Thank you for your continued support.
