In 1996 Days Of The New, headed by Travis Meeks where signed
to Outpost Recordings a subsidiary of Geffen Records, and brought on to
Warner Chapels publishing. Their first was record with Scott Litt, producer of
R.E.M. and Nirvana's "Unplugged" album.
In early '96 Days Of The New did there first tour with "Kenny
Wayne Sheppard".
During that tour the single Touch, Peel and Stand was
released, and went to #1 on rock radio and other charts.

Days Of The New has performed with such acts as Aerosmith
and Metallica. Days Of The New made two videos for their first album, the self
titled double platinum "Days Of The New" and released three single's which all reached #1
including Shelf In The Room and Downtown. Touch, Peel and Stand won an award
for most played video on MTV.
Touch, Peel and Stand broke the record for the longest #1
single at rock radio.

Travis Meeks and Days Of The New have appeared on the
following soundtracks: Godzilla, Half Baked, The Crow, Varsity Blues, Heavy Metal 2000
(also produced), Black Hawk Down, and 98 Winter X Games. Travis Meeks and Days
Of The New have also performed on "The David Letterman Show".
