Gleaner Gardens Open Gardens

Brighten your Memorial Day weekend with a walk through spectacular rhododendrons, handsome specimen trees and lower-to-the-ground garden plants. You can sit down for a while and and enjoy orange, purple, or deep red blossoms above you. Paths through our garden lead out to paths through a woodland where more rhodies seem to glow among the trees. Find some native plants in flower there: jack-in-the-pulpit, mayapple, wild sarsaparilla and others.

This year we welcome the public May 25 through May 27th from 10am to 4pm daily for our annual open gardens. While we are not entirely handicapped accessible, most of the gardens can be accessed in wheelchairs or walkers if you have assistance.

Docents from the RI Wild Plant Society will be available to greet you and answer questions, as will your hosts, Cindy and Chuck.  A $2.00 per person donation is requested to benefit the RI Wild Plant Society.  We really do hope to see you then!
