Seekonk Library is celebrating Children's Book Week, May 12-18. On Thursday, May 16, at 4 pm, we're thrilled to have Pete Mangione, WPRI-TV Meteorologist, as our special guest! Because tornadoes play such a huge role in the movie, Mr. Mangione will speak to the “science of
tornadoes,” in addition to answering general weather questions from the audience. Following his presentation,
children will be given tornado tubes, which they can use to create their own tornado!
The public is invited to attend Pete Mangione’s presentation; however, registration is required for the tornado tube program, so logon to the Library’s website, www.seekonkpl.org, and click “Calendar of Events” to register for the “Science of Tornadoes” program listed on May 16.
