Fairhaven Police Chase Stolen Vehicle: Two Woman Face Charges
Police said one suspect resisted arrested and had to be stopped with a stun gun.

FAIRHAVEN, MA — Two New Bedford women were arrested after police said they crashed a stolen vehicle into two police cruisers and led officers on a chase.
Jeannine Vicker, 45, and Sherri Masse, 33, both of New Bedford face shoplifting charges. Additionally, Vickery was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, and resisting arrest.
A little before 3 p.m., Fairhaven Police said they saw a tan 1993 Toyota Camry parked in the fire lane outside Marshall's. When officers looked up the car's registration, they discovered it was reported stolen. Officers tried to stop the driver, Vickery, but police said she drove away, and struck two police cruisers, one which was unmarked.

Police eventually caught up to the suspects and stopped them near the intersection of Seabury and Carlisle Streets. No one was injured during the chase.
Vickery resisted arrest, according to police. Officers said they had to use a stun gun to get her to stop.

When police searched the vehicle they said was stolen, officers said they found stolen merchandise and drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were taken to Ash Street Jail in New Bedford. They are scheduled to be arraigned in New Bedford District Court on Wednesday.
